GADAG: Five people were seriously injured and 15 others sustained minor injuries after a bus overturned into a ditch near Majjur in Shirahatti taluk on Tuesday night. The injured were rushed to a hospital.
The bus was travelling from Gadag to Keralli Thanda via Shirahatti when the driver lost control, allegedly due to negligence, and rolled into a ditch. The driver fled the scene.
The injured have been admitted to Gadag GIMS hospital and Shirahatti taluk hospital for treatment. The Shirahatti police have launched an investigation into the incident.
