BENGALURU: One individual among five men was arrested for stealing 400 kg of hair worth Rs 25 lakh from a warehouse in Lakshmipur Cross.
On March 1, a group of five people, including the arrested Yallappa, broke into a warehouse where human hair was stored, and stole 400 kg of hair worth about Rs 25 lakh from the warehouse and fled in a goods vehicle.
The warehouse owner, Venkataraman, filed a complaint with the Soladevanahalli police station. Based on the complaint, the police identified the accused and are currently investigating the case.
During the investigation, it was found that the accused had transported the stolen hair to Channarayapatna and Andhra Pradesh, intending to export it to China, Burma and Hong Kong.
One of the accused, Yallappa, has been caught by the police, and efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining four accused.
