KALABURAGI: The Chowk police here have arrested five people who were hired to carry out a revenge killing, and recovered three countrymade guns and 11 rounds of ammunition from them.
The arrested are Hanamantharaya, Gaibusab, Yeshwant, Gautam and Shivakumar. On the night of Septembert 15, they had carried out an attack on Sharanabasappa Kande, but the latter escaped as the gun misfired.
Sharanabasappa had been accused of killing Hanamantharaya’s son and Gaibusab and his gang had accepted a hit job for Rs 20 lakh to eliminate Sharanabasappa.
