Five arrested in Kalaburagi for recruitment exam fraud

KALABURAGI: The police have arrested two candidates who had appeared for the recruitment exam for the post of first division assistant (FDA) in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, for indulging in malpractice by using a bluetooth devices. Three others who were helping them were also arrested.

The police arrested Trimurthy from the Sri Sharanabasaveshwara University exam centre in the city. The accused Trimurthy hails from Sonna village in Afzalpur taluk, the native of R D Patil, the kingpin of the PSI recruitment scam.

Both candidates were taken to an ENT specialist.

The police both the candidates to an ENT specialist to remove the bluetooth device which was in the ear and later took them for medical tests to the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS).

Among the five arrested, two are candidates who were writing the exam and three were those who were helping them with the answers using bluetooth devices. The arrested are from Kalaburagi and Bidar districts. The police are questioning the accused and taken up further investigation.
