BENGALURU: Goods worth crores were destroyed in a fire which broke out at a furniture store at Vignana Nagar on Wednesday night. However, there was no loss of life. An electrical short-circuit is suspected to have caused the fire.
The furniture store closed for the day around 8.30 pm on Wednesday. About an hour later, a fire was notice and the store owner Shivaraj and the fire brigade were informed. However, by the time the firefighters arrived, the fire had spread and burnt the wooden furniture.
The firefighters ensured that the fire did not spread to adjacent furniture store and managed to put out the blaze. The incident occurred in Baiyappanahalli police limits.
