An FIR was registered against Nazia Elahi Khan for her provocative statements.

BELAGAVI: An FIR has been filed against BJP national spokesperson and minorities leader Nazia Elahi Khan for alleged provocative remarks against the Muslim community, at the Marihal police station here.

As per the complaint, Nazia Khan made objectionable statements against Muslims at a programme titled ‘Batenge To Katenge’, attended by Hindu activists and held at Sulebhavi in January 19.

On Monday night, Muslim community members staged a protest in front of the Marihal police station condemning the alleged hate speech. Following this, the police have registered a case under BNS Sections 192 and 302 for disturbing communal harmony and disrupting law and order.
