MYSURU: An FIR has been filed against RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna, who had alleged that the Chamundeshwari temple authorities atop Chamundi Hills were ‘stealing and selling sarees’ which were offered to the deity by devotees.

Temple administrator Rupa has filed a complaint against Snehamayi Krishna at the Krishnaraja police station, alleging obstruction of a government official from discharging his/her duties.

The police have registered an FIR based on the complaint. Krishna had alleged that the temple authorities were selling the sacred sarees at a black market. He had also released a video in this regard showing carrying bundles being carted away.

The temple authorities had denied the allegations, stating that the bundles being carried were not sarees, but files.
