BIDAR: A final-year MBBS student of Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) committed suicide by jumping off the hostel’s seventh floor on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Shriram (22), a resident of Chittaguppa taluk. He was a final-year MBBS student and the topper in his class. Recently, he had lost his father and was depressed. He told his mother over the phone that he would finish the last exam and return home. It is believed that he was scared to write the exam and jumped off the hostel building.
A case has been registered at the New Town police station. The police visited the spot and are investigating further.
