MANGALURU: Three people, including a father-son duo, died after the car they were travelling in fell into a gorge on the Parladkada Mani-Mysuru highway on Saturday. The car was on its way from Sullia to Puttur.
The deceased were identified as Sullia Jattipalla residents Annu Naik and his son Chidanand, and neighbour Ramesh Naik. It is suspected that the driver may have dozed off behind the wheel causing him to lose control.
The Sullia police visited the spot and shifted the bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
