Farmers formed human chain during protest at Genaral Thimmaiah circle.

MADIKERI: Members of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and other organisations staged a protest at the General Thimmaiah Circle in Madikeri on Monday to press for fulfilment of thei rvarious demands.

The protested blocked the movement of vehicles on the national highway by forming a human chain and attempted to gherao the Forest office.

Hundreds of farmers participated in the protest.

The major demand of the protesters was preventing conflict between human and wild animals. They also demanded proper electricity supply for irrigation.
