DAVANAGERE: A farmer from Harapanahalli taluk in Vijayanagar district fulfilled the air travel desire of a group of women labourers who work on his areca plantation by taking them on a flight from Shivamogga to Goa.
Farmer Vishwanath of Shiraganahalli arranged to take a group of 10 women labourers on a flight after they expressed their desire to trave by air at least once in their lifetimes. After getting them identical new sarees, Vishwanath took them by a StarAir flight to Goa.
Details about how much Vishwanath spent on the trip were not immediately available, but videos shared by him have now gone viral on social media and his act has been commended from several quarters.
