BELAGAVI: A farmer from Mullur village in Ramadurga taluk died after he slipped and fell into a lake while bathing his oxen.
The deceased Mallappa Anawala (45) had gone to the lake to give the oxen a bath on Monday morning, but fell into the water. Those present near the lake did not know to swim and hence, could not save the farmer.
Villagers immediately gathered near the lake and as the news spread, a local youth jumped into the lake and fished out the body. The incident occurred Ramadurga police limits.
