Farmer arrested for cultivating ganja in Bidar village

The farmer had cultivated the ganja plants among flower plants.

BIDAR: A farmer was arrested from Savali village in Kamalnagar taluk for cultivating ganja among flower plants on his farm. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and seized 51 ganja plants worth Rs 15 lakh.

The farmer Santosh had cultivated ganja illegally on Survey No. 18/2 in the village. He was taken into custody and sent to judicial custody. The police have registered a case against him at the Kamalnagar police station.

Bidar Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti has praised the police for their work in busting the ganja cultivation operation.
