KALABURAGI: A young woman and her newborn baby died due to alleged medical negligence at a private hospital at MSK Mill Layout here. The deceased was Sabha Parveen.
The family had taken Parveen to the hospital on Sunday evening for delivery, but the doctors informed them beforehand that the baby might not survive due to complications. Later, the woman also died due to low blood pressure.
Despite this, the family claims that the medical staff’s negligence led to Parveen’s death. The enraged family members vandalised the hospital, breaking glass and destroying equipment.
The RG Nagar police intervened to control the situation.
