The family members shifted the dead person's body on a motorcycle.

TUMAKURU: In a shocking incident, a family was forced to shift the body of an elderly person on a motorcycle, apparently due to the lack of an ambulance. The incident has caused much outrage in the native village of the deceased.

Honnurappa (80), a resident of Dalavahi village in Pavadaga taluk was admitted to the community health centre in Y N Hosakote for treatment of age-related illnesses. However, he breathed his last.

With no ambulance available in time, the family members were forced to shift the body home on a motorcycle for the last rites. However, in a video, an ambulance can be seen parked within the premised of the community health centre.
