BENGALURU: In a daring robbery in Yelahanka area, a gang of four men, posing as government officials, gained entry into a house and robbed approximately ₹1.5 crore in cash and 50 grams of gold jewellery. The incident occurred at the house of one Giriraj, who was not present at the time of the robbery.

The gang arrived in a car with a fake number plate and claimed to be government officials. They then asked where the cash was kept and the family revealed that the bag containing cash was in the kitchen. Giriraj had reportedly kept the cash to purchase land.

The gang then asked the family members where Giriraj was, and when they were told that he was not at home, the robbers made off with ₹1.5 crore in cash and 50 grams of gold jewellery. The family later lodged a complaint with the Yelahanka police who are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits and trace vehicle.
