KALABURAGI: A man, who had allegedly raped a 75-year-old woman after barging into her house at Chandrapalli village in Chincholi taluk on November 18 has been finally arrested. The Chincholi police, who had registered a case, produced him before a court on Friday which sent him to judicial custody.
The victim lives alone in her house. The victim was badly bruised and was shifted to the government hospital in Bidar. The accused fakir, Tayyab, had snatched the old woman’s mobile phone and a silver chain.
Tayyab is a resident of the neighbouring Ainolli village and would usually goes around villages seeking alms. He had been absconding ever since the incident.
