Fake note racket busted in Lingasugur, one arrested

RAICHUR: Police officials busted a fake currency notes racket at Lingasugur in the district. The officials went to seize illegal liquor stored in a house on the basis of a tip-off, but they found bundles of fake currency notes.

The officials found fake notes of Rs 500 denomination and white paper during the raid. About 62 bundles of printed notes of Rs 500 were found. A fake note network was discovered in the Gaulipura Colony of Lingasugur, and the police arrested Chotasab who was printing fake notes.

It is said that he was printing fake notes to cheat people. The police personnel raided under the leadership of Lingasuguru Assistant Commissioner and PI Pundalik. Further investigation is under way. A case has been registered in this regard at Lingasugur police station.
