RAICHUR: A cache of explosives was discovered near the main gate of the Hutti Gold Mine in Lingasugur taluk, sparking concerns among locals and mine workers. Over 15 cartridges of explosives were found scattered on the road, raising questions about their origin and intended use.

The explosives, believed to be used for mining purposes, were found unattended, and it’s unclear who they belong to or where they were being transported. The Hutti police have registered a case and launched an investigation. They suspect that the explosives may have been dropped from a passing bike.

The discovery has raised concerns about the safety and security of the area, particularly given the sensitive nature of the Hutti Gold Mine. Authorities are investigating whether the explosives were meant for use in the gold mine or private quarries.

The police have formed a special team to track down the person responsible for transporting the explosives and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprit. The case has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act, and further investigation is under way.
