CHIKKODI: In a crass show of power, a former gram panchayat member has dug up a road connecting two villages, all because rain water was clogging his fields. Surprisingly, the gram panchayat authorities are yet to act though it has been a week since the road was dug up.

Villagers are facing a tough time.

BJP leader and former GP member Thammanna Teli has dug up the road connecting Shegunashi and Yabaratti villages claiming that water was flooding his field and not flowing over to the other side. In fact, a pipeline has been laid to facilitate flow of water, but it has got blocked with stones and mud.

With the road link cut off, people from both villages are having a tough time commuting, but Thammanna Teli remains unfazed.
