HUBBALLI: Former Deputy CM K S Eshwarappa has again lashed out at former CM BS Yediyurappa and BJP state president Vijayendra, hinting at joining the BJP indirectly.

Speaking in Hubballi, he said, “Every woman wants to go to her mother’s house. But, if that house is a little bad, it needs to be corrected. This is what the parents should know. The desire to go to her mother’s house is the woman’s wish. All women are Grihalakshmis, despite being married, it doesn’t matter.

He was taunting BS Yediyurappa said, they will learn a lesson one day, and people will teach a lesson to them.

Referring to Yediyurappa and his sons, he said, “They have betrayed the BJP workers who worked hard to get Vijayendra elected. They have betrayed the party. I had started trying to teach lessons to them. Now Yatnal has continued it. Yediyurappa and his sons betrayed the BJP”.

Eshwarappa said, “I contested the election because I don’t want this compromise politics. This should be understood by state and national leaders. The BJP should be free from family politics. Nepotism must end. Yeddyurappa gives more opportunities to those around him. They don’t want Hindutva leaders like Yatnal, C T Ravi, Ananth Kumar and Pratap Simha. My fight is against that criteria. It doesn’t matter if it affects me personally.

“I already knew I would face trouble. Now, it’s getting difficult, but I will face it. They pretend that there is no BJP without Yediyurappa. This is my fight to change that. The BJP is not a party built by just four people; it was built by the sweat and blood of millions of people”, he said .

He added, “I have started a movement to make the BJP free from family politics. This should be understood by the state and national leaders. The BJP should be free from favouritism towards relatives”.

Eshwarappa also mentioned that he is considering reviving the Rayanna Brigade, a platform he launched earlier. He said, “I will discuss this with my supporters, but no decision has been made yet.”

Regarding the current Congress government, he expressed surprise that it has survived for one and a half years.

He praised CM Siddaramaiah, saying, “There is not a single black mark on his leadership”. He questioned, “If he steps down, will we become the CM? It’s like saying ‘yes’ to everything”.
