BENGALURU: The Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department has decided to ensure temple funds are used solely for temple development.
Previously, temple funds were being used for other purposes. To prevent this, boards will be installed at temples stating that funds should only be used for temple development. The move to put up boards will begin with the Savadatti Yellamma temple in the first week of December.
The Endowment Department has decided to use that money exclusively for temple development not for other purposes. The money will be used for the temple’s maintenance and development. The boards will be installed at temples from December, beginning with the Savadatti Yellamma Temple. This move aims to prevent misuse of temple money and ensure transparency.
