MADIKERI: The occupants of a car had a miraculous escape after a wild elephant attacked the vehicle on the national highway near the Majjigehalla forest on Wednesday night. The car was completely crushed in the attack.
The occupants of the car were heading to Mysuru from Virajpet when they encountered the elephant. Acting quickly, they managed to save themselves while the elephant went about crushing the car.
The Forest Department staff and the Gonikoppa police later visited the spot.
