BENGALURU: An electric bike suddenly caught fire while charging at a house in Shivanagar area on Sunday night. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
The e-bike, owned by Mukesh, was parked in the basement when it exploded and burst into flames around 11 pm on Sunday. The fire spread to a nearby cycle and threatened to engulf the house.
The residents of the house moved to the terrace while locals managed to shift the bike outside and extinguish the flames. Firefighters from Rajajinagar arrived at the scene and doused the fire. The incident occurred in Basaveshwaranagar police station limits.
