BENGALURU: An elderly couple was thrown 15 feet after a speedy car collided with a scooter on the Tumakur-Bangalore national highway near Thippagondanahalli in Nelamangala taluk on Sunday.

Venkatanarasappa’s wife, Sharada, a resident of Averahalli village, was seriously injured and was admitted to Nelamangala Hospital with the help of locals.

The incident occurred under Nelamangala traffic police limits.
