KOLAR, CHIKKABALLAPUR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday raided the residence of Malur MLA K Y Nanjegowda who is president of the Kolar-Chikkaballapur Milk Union Ltd (KoChiMul).
The ED raided the MLA’s house and the Nanjundeshwara stone crusher unit at Kommanahalli and also examined documents at the KoChiMul office in Huttur. The raid comes of the back of allegations about largescale corruption in recruitments.
The team of 25 officials conducted simultaneous raids at 10 locations linked to the MLA including his close associate Harish’s residence in Doddamale, KoChiMul managing director Gopal Murthy, administrative manager Nagesh and one location in Bengaluru.
The officials also detained Nanjegowda’s auditor from his office at Gowripet in Kolar and also examined documents.
