BENGALURU: With the Assembly elections in the state round the corner, allegations regarding tapping of the phones of prominent leaders are yet again doing the rounds.
Recently, Bengaluru Rural MP DK Suresh, during a chat with Public TV, had pointed fingers at the ruling dispensation alleging that phones of prominent Congress leaders are being tapped, leading to much furore. He had alleged that an expert team of the BJP is working behind the scenes in Bengaluru to tap conversations of his party leaders.
Following repeated allegations of phone tapping by various leaders, the Election Commission has got into the act. Sources said that the Commission has formed a special team to keep a close watch on illegal tapping of phones.
