Dry weather to prevail for three more days, parts of state may receive rain from April 18

BENGALURU: The state is expected to witness dry weather for another three days and parts of south-interior and north-interior Karnataka can expect rain from April 18, according to the meteorological department.

The districts which are likely to witness rain are Hassan, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, and Tumakuru in south-interior Karnataka, Vijayapura, Gadag, Koppal, Kalaburagi, Raichur and Ballari in north-interior Karnataka.

Parts of the state including Agumbe, Dharmasthala, NR Pura, Dharwad, Bevoor, Mudgal, Indi, Shivamogga, Linganamakki, Anavatti, Aurad, Devara Hipparagi, Yadrami, Kalaghatagi, Tyagarti, Kalasa, Harapanahalli, Kudatini, Koppa, Tarikere, Sringeri, Siddapura, Sindhanur, Hirekerur, Lakshmeshwar, Annigeri, Kammaradi, Savanur, Talaguppa and Hunchadakatte have already recorded rain.

Meanwhile, Raichur recorded maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperature at HAL was 33.8 degrees Celsius and 21.3 degrees Celsius, respectively, in Bengaluru 34.5 degrees Celsius and 22.3 degrees Celsius, at KIA 34.4 degrees Celsius and 22.2 degrees Celsius, at GKVK 34.8 degrees Celsius and 20.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Parts of the state are expected to experience high temperatures on April 15 and 16. In Honnavar, the maximum was 33.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 23.4 degrees Celsius; Karwar 35.6 degrees Celsius and 27.0 degrees Celsius; Bidar 27.0 degrees Celsius and 22.2 degrees Celsius; and Dharwad 36.8 degrees Celsius and 21.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
