BIDAR: Two drunk men assaulted a KKRTC bus driver allegedly for not giving way for their motorcycle, near the Akka Mahadevi College here on Thursday night. In the last two weeks, this is the third such incident being reported.
The bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Bhalki and when it entered Bidar town, the two men on the motorcycle, who were said to be drunk, tried to overtake it. They managed to get ahead of the bus and blocked it.
The men then started assaulting the bus driver Hanif alleging that he was not letting them pass and escaped from the scene. The badly injured bus driver was treated at the BRIMS hospital. He has since lodged a complaint with the New Town police.
