A man lose his left leg under running train in Shivamogga.

SHIVAMOGGA: A man, who was completely inebriated, lost his left leg while sitting on a railway track near Savalanga Road in the district on Friday night. The person was identified as Adil, who hails from Bihar and was working on the construction of a railway overbridge in Savalanga.

Adil was not even aware that he had lost a leg after a train ran over it. He kept sitting on the track chewing tobacco in a drunken stupor on that night. The train was running between Thalaguppa and Shivamogga.

Local youths, who found him later, helped shift him to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga along with his severed leg.
