Drunk man burns daughter’s school books, Class 10 girl calls 112 emergency number

DAVANAGERE: A drunk man burned his daughter’s books to prevent her from attending school, at Arundi village in the district. The Class 10 student called the emergency number 112and reported her father’s behavior.

The police team, led by Hemaraj and Ravikumar, visited the scene and counselled the father. The CPI of Nyamati police station, Ravi, provided the student with necessary books and assured her of support.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with locals praising the police response. Police Superintendent Uma Prashant commended the 112 team for their prompt action in helping the student continue her education.
