KOLAR: A drunk driver crashed his car on to the railway tracks at Tyakal railway station in Kolar. The incident occurred late on Saturday night when the car jumped from the railway platform on to the tracks, damaging both the car and the tracks.
The car owner Rakesh was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and created the chaos. Railway police, with the help of an excavator, cleared the car from the tracks.
The Bangarapet Railway police have taken Rakesh into custody and a case has been registered at the Bangarapet Railway police station.
