Drone Attack on Abu Dhabi Airport – 2 Indians Killed

A drone attack has taken place at the Saudi Aramco oil depot in Abu Dhabi airport, instantly killing two Indians and injuring six more people. Among them, one individual hailed from Pakistan confirmed the authorities.

Police have informed that three fuel tankers have exploded in the industrial Musafah area near Abu Dhabi’s National Oil Corporation Storage facilities. A fire has been reported near the construction site of the Abu Dhabi international airport.

Preliminary investigations show that parts of a drone were found on both sites. Police have said an investigation has been launched to look into the matter.

Iran had reduced its military presence in Yemen in 2019. However, they had kept Yemeni armed and trained forces under their control. So, Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi forces may have attacked the Saudi Armco’s unit.

This is not the first time drones have attacked the world’s largest oil company. Earlier drones have attacked Saudi Arabia’s Armco’s Abkaik and Qurayz unit. This time they have attacked the Houthi forces.
