BENGALURU: A lorry driver died on the spot after the vehicle collided with another lorry that was stopped at the signal near the Satellite Bus Stand on Mysuru Road early on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar (60).
The lorry (KA 51 B 3638) was being driven recklessly and hit the stationary lorry from behind. It was carrying a load of vegetables from Malur, Kolar, to RR Nagar for online delivery through Swiggy Instamart.
Eyewitnesses claim that the lorry was descending the Mysuru Road flyover and was swerving erratically before hitting the stationary lorry. The police later cleared the accident site and shifted the body of the deceased to KR Market’s Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.
