BENGALURU: Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and members of the Dr Rajkumar family met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday to invite him for the grand ‘Puneeth Parva’, the pre-release event of the documentary film ‘Gandhada Gudi’.
The ‘Puneeth Parva’ event will be held on October 21 at the Palace Ground. Sandalwood stars and other film industry artists, celebrities, and dignitaries are likely to participate in the event. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, wife of the late actor, requested the CM to preside over the programme to which many dignitaries have been invited.
Raghavendra Rajkumar told media persons after meeting the CM that a pre-release event has been organised before launching it in big screen. The entire programme will be held under the leadership of Ashwini. Actor Yuva Rajkumar was also present during the meeting with the CM.
Gandhada Gudi, the docu-drama, will be released on Friday, October 28. This was his last movie. “We have invited South Indian actors and actresses. It is still in discussion. After that, the guest list will be finalised. All the arrangements have been made, so that everyone will get a chance to take part in the programme”, the family members said.
A specially crafted invitation, made of wood, has been prepared for the launch ceremony. An effigy of late ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar has also been erected. Besides, there is a signature of him written on a sandalwood piece.
The trailer of ‘Gandhada Gudi’ was viewed by more than 10 million people in just two days after it was teased.
