BENGALURU: A Chennai-based doctor was murdered by his fiancée and her three friends for sharing intimate videos on social media with his friends.
Dr Vikas, who hailed from Chennai, had completed his MBBS in Ukraine and was practicing in Bengaluru. Pratibha, his fiancée, was an architect. They were in love and their families had met and had decided to conduct the marriage within the next three months.
Meanwhile, while the couple were in physical relationship and Vikas had captured their intimate videos. He also shared the videos with his close friends through social media.
When Prathibha got to know about this, she was furious. Vikas even deleted everything and sought forgiveness. Prathibha summoned Vikas for a conversation, and her classmates Sushil, Surya, and Gautam were also present.
They had a heated argument, and Pratibha, along with her friends, beat up Vikas badly. He bled profusely and died on the spot. Later, in the morning, when they found Vikas unresponsive, they planned to admit him to a hospital, but he had died by then.
A case has been registered at Begur police station. Prathibha, along with her two friends, was arrested, but Surya is missing. Police are investigating further.
