BENGALURU: All does not seem to be fine between Darshan and other accused, arrested in the Renukaswamy murder case, over shifting from Parappana Agrahara central jail to other prisons. This has given rise to quesions whether a rift arose between them. Currently the accused are lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.
After the Supreme Court cancelled their bail, Darshan, Pradosh, Lakshman, Anbukumar, Jagadish, Nagaraj and Pavithra Gowda were transferred to the same jail. The group had previously been lodged in different jails, with Darshan sent to Ballari jail.
The state government had requested the high court to keep them in separate jails for administrative and security reasons, citing the difficulty of transporting them for trial hearings.
However, the court rejected the request, stating that the group had not shown any misbehaviour since being jailed. This decision has reportedly caused friction within the gang, with some members feeling that Darshan prioritised his own interests over theirs.
Anbukumar and Jagadish are reportedly unhappy about not being transferred to other jails, which would have made it easier for their families to visit them. They claim that Darshan is selfishly keeping them in the same jail for his own convenience, causing them undue hardship.
