BENGALURU: Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, Kannada and Culture, Shivaraj Tangadagi has announced the appointment of directors to six Rangayanas in the state.
The directors appointed include Satish Tipatur for Mysuru Rangayana, Raju Taliakote for Dharwad Rangayana, Prasanna D Sagar for Shivamogga Rangayana, Dr Sujatha Jangam Shetty for Kalaburagi Rangayana, Mallikarjun Kadakola for Vrutti Rangabhoomi Rangayana, Davanagere and Venkatraman Aithala for Yaksharangayana, Karkala.
The Minister has instructed the directors to take charge immediately and speed up the activities of Rangayanas, as well as implement programmes that complement the overall development of theatre. The government has also issued an order for the appointment of vacant members in various academies.
