BENGALURU: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has allegedly struck a deal with a car owner which was damaged after a barricade crashed on it near a Metro construction site in Doddanekundi near Mahadevapura.

The BMRCL has apparently reached a settlement with the car owner for its repair after a barricade fell on the Hyundai i-10 and it was completely damaged. It is also said that the BMRCL officials convinced the car owner not to file a police case against them because it would be a black mark. Namma Metro MD Anjum Parvez has not responded on this yet.

BMRCL has allegedly struck a deal with a car owner to cover up the barricade incident.

Earlier on January 10, an under-construction metro pillar collapsed near Nagawara on the Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru, killing a woman and her toddler son. Two days later, on January 12, a cave-in occurred on Brigade Road near Shoolay Circle where the BMRCL is undertaking underground work on the Gottigere-Nagawara line.
