BENGALURU: The countdown for the Gowri-Ganeshotsav festival has begun and Bengaluru is gearing up to celebrate the festival with much fervour. This year, the Bengaluru Mahanagara Ganesh Utsav Committee has decided to celebrate the festival with the Dharmasthala theme.
The committee aims to showcase Hindu unity through the festival and has planned various activities to promote the same. It will distribute turmeric and kumkum to women devotees in 2,500 committees under their umbrella as a token of support and solidarity while recalling Operation Sindoor. This time, the Ganeshotsava committees have decided to highlight the importance of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the ‘Dharmasthala Mahatme.’
The committee will also display posters and banners with the truth about Dharmasthala in Ganesha mandaps to dispel misconceptions and false propaganda about the temple town. The theme of Dharmasthala will be showcased in the decorations and idol-making with depictions of various events and people, including Sameer, Sujatha Bhat, and others.
The Cubbonpet Gajanana Mitra Mandali will also have a Dharmasthala theme this year, with a special focus on the recent controversies surrounding the place. The festival will be a celebration of unity, harmony and devotion to Lord Ganesha.
Ravi of Gajanana Mitra Mandali said that they are planning to celebrate Ganeshotsav with the theme of protecting Dharmasthala and against those who were conspiring against the kshetra. We are requesting surrounding Ganeshotsav committees to put up a banner of supporting Dharmasthala.
