MANGALURU: The alleged conspirators in the Dharmasthala mass burial case, including the masked complainant Chinnnaiah, Girish Mattannanavar and Jayanth T, had met Kerala CPI MP P Sandosh Kumar in that state along with the skull, investigations have revealed. Meanwhile, Chinnaiah was sent to 14 days in judicial custody after his police custody ended on Friday.
The trio had travelled to Kerala in July and met the CPI Rajya Sabha member along with the skull which Chinnaiah had produced before the police. The MP had shown keen interest in the Dharmasthala case and an interview with him was also uploaded on the YouTube channer ‘Kudla Rampage’ by a YouTuber on July 17. The interview was posted online before the announcement of the SIT.
Meanwhile, Chinnaiah was on Saturday produced before the Belthangady court after medical examination. He was handed to judicial custody for 14 days and shifted to the Shivamogga jail in view of security. Chinnaiah pleaded with the court to provide him with a lawyer and the Mangaluru legal services authority nominated four lawyers, including Kishore, to represent Chinnaiah.
On the other hand, the SIT continued questioning of Girish Mattannanavar, Jayanth T, YouTuber Abhishek and Sowjanya’s uncle Vitthal Gowda all through Friday and Saturday.
