MANGALURU: The special investigation team (SIT), probing the Dharmasthala alleged mass burial case, continued to question five people, including two YouTubers, for the second day on Tuesday.
The SIT is questioning Girish Mattannanavar, Vitthal Gowda (Sowjanya’s uncle), Jayanth T and YouTubers Abhishek and Kerala-based Munaf. While the team has recovered various items from Abhishek, his phone, along with that of Jayanth, Vitthal Gowda, Girish Mattannanavar and Munaf have been seized and sent to a forensic lab to retrieve deleted data.
Earlier in the day, Munaf said he is not afraid and that he had come to Belthangady alone. “I have not mentioned anything against the temple or named any culprits. I was not present when the others met Kerala MP Sandosh Kumar. I am disappointed with Sujatha Bhat as I had believed her story. I was born in Karnataka and lived in Sagar”, he said.
