Devotees affected by heavy downpour at Mantralaya, suffered without shelter

RAICHUR: Several devotees who slept in the courtyard of the Mantralaya math last night due to heavy rain, suffered with no proper shelter.

The 353rd Aradhana mahotsava of Guru Raghavendra Swami was celebrated in the math, and devotees have come from all over the state. Due to the rain, there was no place to sleep, and the devotees had to wander around.

Upon receiving the information about devotees, the math’s pontiff, Subhudhendra Teertha Swamiji made alternative arrangements. The math’s staff provided space for devotees to sleep inside the math’s compound and lecture hall.

 A large number of devotees gathered for the occasion of Rayara’s Poorvaradhane on Monday night. However, the heavy rain around 2 am caused inconvenience to the devotees.

The day before Guru Raghavendra Swami’s eternal rest is celebrated as Poorvaradhane at all the Raghavendra maths in the country, including Mantralaya, with great enthusiasm. Special puja rituals are performed since morning.
