BENGALURU: A deputy director of Mines and Geology Department was brutally stabbed to death at Gokula apartment at Subramanyapura in the city on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Pratima.
The police suspected that she was killed last night when she was alone at her apartment. Her car driver had dropped her off home around 8 pm yesterday. The Subramanyapura police visited the residence and have taken up investigation.
Pratima, a government officer, hails from Tirthahalli and her husband and son are living there while she was living alone in the city. The incident came to light around 8 am this morning when her brother tried to contact her over the phone and she didn’t answer. Suspecting something amiss, the brother immediately came to her house to check.
Following the discovery of the murder, senior police officials visited the officer’s residence. Prima facie, the murder does not seem to be for gain, leading to many questions about the incident.
