DAVANAGERE: A 17-year-old PUC student allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his house at Saraswati Nagar here on Tuesday. The deceased Ullas was studying PUC at a private college in the city and was reportedly suffering from mental depression.
Ullas’s parents were in Shivamogga for a parent-teacher meeting at his younger brother’s school, leaving him and his grandmother at home. He left a death note stating he was responsible for his own death and hung himself in his room.
A case has been registered at KTG Nagar police station and further investigation is under way.
