BENGALURU: A 17-year-old girl ended her life by jumping off an apartment building in Byatarayanapura on Friday. The deceased was identified as Vijayalakshmi.
It is said that she was suffering from depression and had gone to Dharmastala where she attempted suicide by jumping into the Netravathi river. However, some locals had rescued her, called her parents and sent her back home.
In the meantime, the girl’s parents had filed a missing person’s complaint with the Jnana Bharati police station. After her return from Dharmastala, Vijayalakshmi went to the terrace of her apartment building and jumped to her death, police said. A case has been registered at the Byatarayanapura police station.
