Delhi police arrest Mysuru man for sending 1000+ hoax threat messages

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police on Monday said that a 47-year-old man, identified as Srinivas Louis, has been arrested from his rented accommodation in Mysuru. According to police, he was arrested for allegedly sending over 1,000 hoax threat messages to various institutions, courts, and government offices across the country.

The arrest was made following a detailed investigation and technical surveillance by the Delhi Police. Delhi Police stated that further investigation is under way.

The accused, Srinivas alias Srinivas Louis, was a resident of Brindavan Extension in Mysuru and had sent over 1,000 emails with bomb threats to courts, schools, colleges, government offices, railway stations, and airports.

The Delhi police tracked him down and seized several SIM cards and laptops from his home. Srinivas was taken to Delhi for further interrogation.
