VIJAYAPURA: A man, who was neck-deep in debts, poisoned his two children over his wife’s refusal to sell a piece of land she owns.
Chandrashekar Arasanal, a resident of Talikote in the district, mixed poison with egg rice and fed it to his daughter Renuka (5) and son Shivaraj (2). While the boy died, the girl is battling for her life.
Chandrashekar was allegedly angry over his wife’s refusal to sell her land so that he could clear his debts. The Talikote police have arrested him and registered a case.
