BIDAR: The string of crow deaths at Bhalki has led to the fear of bird flu in the town, especially after two crows were found dead on the government hospital premises on Sunday.
A few days ago, Udgir in Aurangabad district of neighbouring Maharashtra had also witnessed the deaths of hundreds of crows when bird flu was detected. Now, the deaths of crows in Bhalki has led to fears of bird flu spreading to the town also.
Though checkposts have been set up at the state borders with Maharashtra and Telangana, chickens are being brought to the district by evading the authorities. Following the crow deaths, locals have demanded that veterinarians carry out thorough tests to determine the cause.
