BENGALURU: Two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain from a woman in broad daylight in K R Puram around 4 pm on Thursday. The daylight chain snatching incident was caught on CCTV of a roadside shop.
The act was committed by two people who came on a Honda Activa scooter. They stalked the woman, who was walking on the side of the road, for a while, snatched the gold chain from the woman’s neck and escaped. The woman got injured when she fell to the ground when they suddenly caught her neck and pulled her.
In CCTV footage, the aged woman can be seen walking along the roadside even as the miscreants follow her. The woman does not seem to be aware of the miscreants behind her.
One of the chainsnatchers walks along by her side for some distance while his companion on the scooter rides close by. The man walking along with the woman then signals his companion to be ready, and suddenly he snatched her chain forcibly. The woman fell to the ground due to the sudden attack. Some passersby made an attempt to catch the duo, but they managed to escape.
